Sample applications
We have several sample applications, developed by the Public Cloud Accelerator team, that you can reference and use in your own products.
Applications using GitHub OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- Serverless: Serverless application built in AWS Lambda
- Containers: Elastic container service (ECS)-based application
- Virtual machines: Sample virtual machine (VM) application
Applications using Terraform Cloud
Serverless: Serverless application built in AWS Lambda
GitHub OpenID Connect
Use GitHub OpenID Connect to allow your GitHub Actions to access resources from your cloud service provider, without the need for GitHub secrets.
External documentation and resources
We’re working on internal documentation to support you as you host and work with B.C. government applications and data in the public cloud.
In the meantime, external technical documentation is available for you to use and reference as you onboard and start working with your service provider.
AWS Secure Environment Accelerator (SEA)
- Secure Environment Accelerator (SEA) (AWS Whitepapers)
- Secure Environment Accelerator (SEA) (AWS GitHub)
- Building a serverless web application architecture
- AWS Serverless Application Repository
- Connectivity with VMware Cloud on AWS
- Canadian Centre for Cyber Security adds additional AWS services to its assessment of the AWS Canada (Central) Region
You can also refer to any other technical documentation created by your public cloud service provider. However, remember that B.C. government landing zones have special guardrails in place and not all service provider documentation will apply to your situation.
