Digital Business Card
Last updated on
Introduction
Digital Business Card lets qualifying sole proprietors operating in the City of Vancouver prove that they represent their registered B.C. business.
It’s optional and self-managed. It’s based on official information from BC Registries.
Now, the digital business card can be used with some City of Vancouver services that require proof of business ownership. It allows City staff to issue some business licences more quickly.
Later, more participating parties will accept this credential. Digital Business Card will reduce transaction costs, simplify business processes, and reduce fraud.
Other future benefits include:
- A person can share trusted information about themselves and their relationship with a given business, without needing any physical documents.
- It saves time and avoid errors when filling out business-related forms.
Digital Business Card is a digital credential, stored in the BC Wallet smartphone app. It was launched in December 2023.
