GC Notify is designed to meet the needs of government services. You can send consistent and accessible email notices, including certain types of attachments, from a trusted domain. GC Notify is ideal for keeping the public informed about their government services, benefits and application status.
Why should I use this
Easy-to-use platform
GC Notify focuses solely on sending email and text messages. It’s simple, which makes it extremely easy to set up and integrate into your services. Use it manually by uploading a contacts spreadsheet, or automatically by integrating it with your application. Note: GC Notify is not an emergency or crisis notification system. It does not act as an email or client management system, it simply sends messages on your behalf. It’s important to be aware of the limitations of SMS as a communication medium. It’s not advisable to depend solely on SMS, particularly in emergency situations. SMS messages can be affected by signal issues, provider delays, citizen phones or may even be mistaken as spam and fail to send.
Send email and SMS text messages
Recipients receive a simple email or text using templates that can be personalized. Multiple communication options mean that recipients can specify whether they would prefer email, text messages or both.

GC Notify is a scalable cloud platform with a robust API that allows you to connect to other services. For example, connect to electronic mailing list software like Listserv or other applications to send password resets, email confirmations or responses to forms. GC Notify handles data according to Government of Canada security and privacy policies and standards.
